Flash Documentation

I have been given the task of documenting my current flash work, this blog is to act as a production log of my progression within the Adobe Flash software. The first task I was given was to create a Times Table within Flash using Action Script.

This is the display of my Times Table, I have created four layers for each section of coding and assets. The Input layer is a box in which we shall input a number, whilst the dynamic layer will work on our input and deliver an output. The passive layer is for our crosses and boxes that are thier for aesthetics and the final layer is the actions for coding as a whole.

This here is the actions and coding of my timestable in order for it to generate and work, the assets need programing and told what to do when I type in a number on a dynamic box. Then in needs to calculate the answer of our input.

This is the final project, as we can see I can click on the box and add a number, when I click start the numbers will generate and add up the following. This is the first to come in a few other small games and projects.

I also attempted to create a straight up calculator, this is its progression so far.

This is the finshed .swf file, as we can see the game seems to work and even has a reset button that spawns the shapes back in thier original place.

From the matching game, I created a small dragging game, the aim being that the shape is dragged upon clicking on it and when the mouse is released it shape stops moving. I shall be suing boleens for this game.

My method was succesful and the boleens were indeed used as a mechanism for the game, this is a shot of the shape and the code reqired for my game to function.

Success! The game works as I intended.

I then moved onto creating a small game, a matching game to be specific, one in which you would match small shapes together and verify if you have matched correctly. The game is dependant upon buttons on small parts of code.
