XT. EARTH 2, 10PM. KANSAS CITY

 

In this shot we are shown a glimpse of Kansas City, primarily the difference between the two districts, one being privileged the other not so. The shot represents each districts economy, we can see dim lights and smoke rising from the lowly district, whilst the high sector is quiet and brightly lit. The shot zooms upon the giant wall around the city that is fully lit. This is shown as a skyline shot ofthe marvelous city at night time. The title now appears on screen. Length should be 30 seconds.

 

INT. LAW FAMILY’S MANOR. 10PM. KANSAS CITY

 

JUSTIN is seen standing in his office, his desk is covered with papers and documents and a bookshelf stands to his left. we see him holding some sort of telephone device. SOUND EFFECT, Recording beep SFX.

 

JUSTIN: "Looking at the case involving Carly and the mysterious figure, I can say that the crime was only committed out of lo..."

 

A burst through the office, ELISABETH enters the room.

 

ELISABETH: "Daaaaaddd...Please can I go to Wendy’s. Please! She’s having a birthday party!"

 

Justin presses the button on his phone and stops recording, SFX for shutting down phone.

 

JUSTIN : "ELISABETH! what have I told you about interrupting me in my office, I’m in the middle of an investigation."

 

Elisabeth lowers herself like a wimpish dog backing away from a fight.

 

JUSTIN: "Sorry, But you know how serious this case is to me, Carly was your mother’s friend. Anyway Wendy’s, I thought she was much older than you?"

 

Justin places his phone on his office table and looks to the window.
